One week has passed after his failed mission. It isn't the point that Altair failed to kill his target, it's just the fact, that one of his accompanist died and the other one, Malik, lost his arm. Normally, a person in the position of Altair would regret the complete mistake, but the short haired Assassin doesn't show any emotions like that.
